Podcast "As the ghaith"
More than nine months have passed, and yet the effect remains. She remembers against her will and wishes that forgetfulness would erase those moments. That day, Fatima came back from work not to the home she shared with her husband, rich with love and generosity, but to her family’s house just nearby. She walked with unsteady steps, one forward and one back, her heartbeat tangled and stirred by a mixture of hope and anxiety. She didn’t know why, but all she could think was that if Hassan’s car wasn’t parked in its usual place, then something terrible must have happened to him. She stepped forward a few paces and found the place where the car should have been completely empty. Hope started to vanish, her heart raced faster, and a heavy certainty settled in something bad had indeed occurred. As soon as she arrived at her parents’ house than they informed her that her lifelong partner and beloved had become a casualty of a brutal Zionist attack in Lebanon.

Part of a person’s happiness is to be blessed by someone compatible with him, and that would be among the greatest divine blessings that covers the marriage life. Hasan is the only suitable match for Fatima, how could it not be and she is the one who tells their story with deep emotion let everyone listens to her words and sees her sparkle eyes every time she speaks about her husband feels with the gentle flow of the fragrance of love and loyalty emanating from her. She tells about her life before the crime committed by a deceitful and barbaric enemy, whose nation and army are entirely devoid of any moral values, that crime that affected thousands of people’s life from men, women even children. Hassan was like her shadow, anything she needed like food from fruits, vegetables, groceries, drinks or even a simple item he get it for her with love from nearby store. He was not satisfied only to be a husband he was the family servant, my companion, my brother, and my greatest support “Fatima says with pride”. When Hassan saw her interest in working in her field of study, he insisted on helping her achieve her dream. She says “Hassan is the one who believed in me. He told me that I will succeed and shine in what I love doing and he would be my number one supporter and his field was close to mine in engineering and technology and I proved myself at work and I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished.
Not even two weeks had passed in celebration of Fatima and Hasan’s happiness. On 17th of September the couples woke up and said goodbye to each other and everyone went to their work. It’s 3:30 afternoon, strange sounds filled Dahiya of Beirut, sounds of screaming and ambulances. One of Fatima’s colleagues rushed toward her and her tears fill down her face and told her that devices were exploding and our young men are falling to the ground and groaning in pain. Blood, amputated fingers, ripped open sides and bloody eyes. Moments, it was reveal that the event was clear and Pajor devices belonging to Hezbollah members it was the one that exploded.
Fatima rushed to check on her husband and relatives, to know that her husband was fine but there is worry on others. She didn’t feel worried about Hassan first especially that her brother called her and told that Hassan was fine. Moments later, all employees were given permission to leave.
Fatima’s uncle called her and then the second uncle called her to check on her if she is well being. She was surprised by the matter since it was not usual to communicate with her in this way. She stopped thinking and went toward her house with eagerness and reassurance. Suddenly, her father called her and invited her to go to his house, she accepted and went toward them. Fatima says with a shy smile and eyes full of yearning as if she were returning with all her senses to relive those moments. On my return toward my parents house I passed beside my marital home and I looked at it with a tender smile of yearning and continued on my way, but a strange feeling and thought came over me.
I say to myself ,if Hasan’s car wasn’t parked in its usual spot under the shadow of the tree so there is something bad had happened to him. With trembling steps and hope, she moved forward but the car wasn’t there. Fatima remembers that moments and continue her way while convincing herself it wasn’t true. She reaches her family’s doorstep, everyone is confused, the mother advises her daughter to be patient and strong and reminds her of the tragedies of Ahl-al-Bayt. The father holds his dear daughter’s hand and reminds her about the importance of making sacrifices.in their path of resistance, so whoever wants to be a loyal and truthful soldier he must be ready to sacrifice anything at any time whether a man or a woman. ”Hassan has become wounded”, her dad said. Fatima narrates those moments in a shaky voice and tears shimmer in her eyes, every detail in her face makes you feel the pain she went through at those moments, not weakness but humanity and a natural disposition born of kindness. The shock of the news penetrated bit by bit inside her. She didn’t scold upon hearing the news, but she gathered her sorrows to face what is harder. The moment of meeting.
Fatima went directly to the hospital. I was lying to my thoughts until the moment came when one of my relatives told me that my husband lost his eyes and hand. I cried without control and I ran away to throw myself among the car and be alone. I started shouting and crying from the depths of my heart and I felt it was broken, this is Hassan, the beloved of my heart and if I were given the choice to be in his place, I wouldn’t hesitate. The important thing is that he remains well. Fatima remembers those moments.
Everyone who went up to Hassan’s room He came back with a pale face, looking flustered. When Fatima saw that, she decided to gather strength instead of weakening to walk towards the partner of her days. I enters the room great determination although I saw his eyes and his left hand are bandaged and his chest is shattered and lips are split, I approached him with calmness and eagerness with my hands wrapped around his, I spoke to him, saying “Hassan I’m Fatima, I’m by your side don’t fear, you have been wounded in several places on your body but don’t worry I’m here with you my beloved, don’t worry just listen to my voice and be sure I’m strong for you, Fatima communicates her husband Hassan.
Her husband returns this kindness and love. To ask her about her condition with concern while she composes herself with determination. Do you know, Fatima, that you are the one who instilled the spirit of hope in me After everyone made me feel as if I were dead, your coming brought me back to life. Hassan said to his soulmate Fatima.
Fatima remembers those moments as she wipes away her tears for her, for her Hasan is everything and without him no meaning for her life, and she believes that this love and attachment will never be diminished by the many wounds.
Fatima answers her mother’s question when asked about how the wounded father presents the verse to their daughter. With a voice full of strength and belief. She indicates that Aya has witnessed all the events she was the child who struggled alongside her parents before seeing the light. Given that the child can hear and feel their surroundings even before birth, Fatima has made use of this gift, I used to always to talk with her and I ask her to pray for her father to achieve his dream to see her and before an hour from her birth till today every time I put her to sleep I say to her pray for your dad I feel how much she is attached to him even at this age stage more than me she is 2 months only and I see how a smile forms on her small lips every time she saw him.
Fatima say that she will narrates for her daughter Aya how his hero dad sacrificed himself for his friends. Pajor device that exploded at him was not for him it was for someone of his friends and he was trying to fix it to stop producing sounds. She will tell her that a savage enemy called “Israel” was the one who exploded those devices alongside all the members of the resistance community who stand for truth and the nation, she will tell her with all love that her dad’s eyes with which he sees, because she gave him hope and faith upon her coming. Before Fatima knew the baby’s gender, one of the friends came and told her that he saw in dream that she was pregnant with a girl and her dad saw the light after her arrival.
Fatima’s hardships began with the journey to Iran for Hassan’s treatment. But her faith in Allah and love for Hassan kept her strong. In their living room hangs a striking painting soft purples, yellows, and browns with a dome and a gazelle, drawn by a descendant of the Prophet’s family. It portrays Imam Ali ibn Musa al-Ridha (peace be upon him). Looking at it brings her deep peace. She shares a special connection with this kind and generous Imam.
While Hassan and Fatima were in Iran, and after a period of examination and treatment, they were taken to the city of Mashhad, where the shrine of the eighth Imam of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) is located. As soon as Hassan set foot on that blessed land, he began to see certain scenes with one eye. He was completely blind before, and now, by the blessing of that Imam, he is able to see at least 10% through one of his eyes.
Fatima continues talking about the daily hardships and sacrifices to remember that she was the only one who strove hard for building her house again step by step, her first house which they brought to life together including its details the war had destroyed. Fatima’s story is similar to many stories of people who fell victim to the same attack. It is true that what unites them is the wounds, pain, and patience in suffering. However 17 of September 2024 was for them the beginning of embodying resistant love.
A person’s trial lies in what they dislike, not in what they love
Hassan narrates a story that happened with him long time ago before he became wounded. His dad’s wife told him that what he dreads most is the impact, he is unafraid of death or the countless wounds. However, Allah will chose to test him with what he hates. Hassan told him, I do not fear captivity nor martyrdom, but I fear the wounds that prevent me from serving this path. The lesson is that love it goes through various tests until it is proven, so how if it’s God’s love? When Allah tests us with trial it will certainly be the opposite of what we love to affirm his love in our hearts and elevate us in ranks in that eternal life, so that nothing remains stolen on the rule If an opportunity comes your way, grasp it.
